BBG - British Business Group Goa

BBG continues to grow with member activities, with a successful 21K half marathon organised by Vasco Sports Club 2 BBG members Hemant Arondekar and Ashish Machado were very involved with this event and we congratulate them on their achievement.
 
The marathon attracted 400 runners from across India, and a few international participants.  Robinson Kwenot from Kenya won the race with a time of 1.08.15.  First lady was Vijaymal Patil in a time of 1.25.55.

A fun run of 5K was also part of the event and this was well supported with 2,000 participants of various ages – all were welcome to participate.

Vasco Sports Club plan to make this an annual event and 11th December 2011 has been suggested for the event.

Connect Goa continues with their entrepreneurial activities and work closely with Goa Chamber of Commerce and industries Young Entrepreneurial Forum.  The chamber plans to open an incubation centre here to work with entrepreneurs is moving forward and hopefully will be up and running by the middle of the year.

European, Australian and New Zealand companies based in Goa are now part of BBG Goa and we look forward to their active participation in our events.

Members meet regularly with Daniel Mouawad our link with UKTI to discuss the opportunities to interact with UK companies and promote their activities to establish links with UK companies wishing to enter the Indian market and hopefully consider Goa as an option.
